About the TV Covers
Our television covers can protect against the sun, UV rays, bugs, spiders, water, wind, ice and moisture. They are made of a unique material that allows it to 'breathe', meaning that mould and moisture does not build up underneath the cover due to changes in the ambient temperature. What this means is your TV is not damaged and rendered inoperative due to 'sweating'.
Other television covers on the market are made of canvas and are said to be 'marine grade' and 100% waterproof. No TV Cover is 100% waterproof and you should never expose your TV directly to the elements. If it was, it would be ruined after the first time it rained! Water, condensation and mould would be trapped underneath. Therefore, having a 'marine grade' cover not made specifically for electronics is not necessary.
Yes our covers will protect from water and moisture. We have tested it under a tap so we know they work! That being said, if you were to expose it to direct rain or spray a hose on it for an extended length of time then some water may eventually get through. However, if it is incidental or light water then our covers will protect your TV for many years to come.
The Material
Our TV Covers are made of composite polyester three layer system. It has a special membrane engineered with state of the art technology that provides a layer to protect against UV Rays, wind and water, whilst also allowing it to 'breathe'.
What this means is that mould and moisture does not build up underneath the cover due to the change in the ambient temperature or humidity. As a result, your TV is not damaged and rendered inoperative due to 'sweating'.
The inside of the cover is a softer lining that provides a further protective layer that will not scratch your screen. Even after years of use, your TV screen will look as good as the day you bought it.
